The choice of eating out in the Berchtesgadener Land area is exceedingly varied, both in style and price. On the lower end of the range you can try the butcher's (Metzgerei) for a roll filled with ham, cheese or slices of Schinkenwurst or salami, as well as potato and other salads (just do a lot of pointing at what looks good to you).

A sausage stand (Würstlstand) offers a number of different types of hot sausages, usually served with - not in - a roll or a slice of bread. Beer gardens are the most pleasant on a dry day, some have live music in the evening in summer.
