Ever since 1602 the well-known mountain gentian schnapps has been distilled here according to a traditional recipe. Internationally known, the distillery produces not only gentian root brand
y, but also for over 20 other alpine liqueurs and eaux-de-vie.

Each year about 100,000 visitors from around the world discover the interesting world of this small distillery located just outside of Berchtesgaden in Unterau. The visit includes a tour through the distillery, an interesting film, free tasting and a well-stocked shop featuring a lot more than just bottles.
